Mission Statement
To facilitate the empowerment of parents and caregivers of children with mental health, emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges through a community-based, family centered, culturally competent system of support, education and advocacy.
Family Support Organizations (FSOs), are family-led county-based private non profits that provide essential in home peer support, education, and advocacy for families navigating children's mental health and developmental challenges.

At Family Support Organization of Morris & Sussex Counties, we believe in the power of lived experience. Our team consists of dedicated parents who have successfully navigated the complex systems of care available for children facing mental health, emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges. This unique perspective allows us to provide invaluable peer support to families throughout their journey. We are committed to hiring individuals who understand these challenges firsthand. An Overview of Services
The Family Support Organization of Morris & Sussex Counties provides intensive peer-to-peer support for families of children with complex care needs through strategic community partnerships. We educate families about the Children's System of Care and their child’s challenges, guided by Wraparound principles. Our mission is to empower families to advocate effectively for their child and themselves. We also ensure service providers are family-centered and promote meaningful family involvement. When needed, we advocate for systemic change to amplify the family voice and foster mental health awareness in our community.
